Default Dream SB matchups that should have happened but didnt.

I'll start with SB 2 that should have pitted the 13-1 Raiders against the 11-1-2 Rams.

Ben Davidson 6"8' 275 vs Deacon Jones 6"6' 275 for the best and most feared DE in all of pro football. Not just in the 2 leagues but all of pro football combined.

Lamonica vs Gabriel

The Raiders were 1st in offense and 2nd in defense in the AFL but had the most sacks out of any team in the history of the AFL/NFL. I think it still stands today. The Rams were tops in offense and defense in the NFL and had 3 of the fearsome 4some on their D-Line still.

Both teams ended up getting blown out by the Packers.

I would have loved to have seen the Bears and Dolphins in Super Bowl XX. The Dolphins were the only team to beat the Bears in the regular season and a Super Bowl rematch would have been awesome.

IIRC, that was one of the games the Bears used Steve "It's No Wonder" Fuller as the QB. Not taking anything away from those Dolphins, though.

Raiders-Rams in SB II would have been a great match-up!

I also like Dolphins-Rams in SB VIII (1974).

The Vikings were not the NFC's best team in 1973, and the Rams could have given the Dolphins a proper match for the trophy.

The Ram's Fearsome Foursome II would have battled the All Pros (Evans, Langer) on the Dolphins' Oline.
