Default Chris 2K06 Johnson

Second year running back Chris Johnson became the sixth player in NFL history to top 2,000 yards in a single season today, helping the Titans that lost the first six games of the season finish up 8-2 over the final ten contests.

Perhaps more impressive, Chris Johnson broke the all-time yards from scrimmage record formerly held by the great Marshall Faulk since 1999.

Faulk's record was 1,381 rushing and 1,048 receiving for 2429 yards.

Johnson's new record stands at 2,006 rushing and 503 receiving for 2,509 yards, and 16 combined touchdowns -- an amazing season.

I think Johnson's record could stand for at least as long as Marshall Faulk's.

With Johnson, Britt and Young, the Titans future is bright.

I like how the Seahawks D didn't just roll over and let him have it. His longest run on the day was just 12 yards, and most of them seemed like 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 yards. They were laying the wood that's for sure. He will be "feeling" that record for a few days!
