In this article (http://cbs.sportsline.com/nfl/story/10035500), it mentions that the Pittburgh Steelers' team doctor is being investigated in a steroid probe that has already reached many professional sports. The doctor says his acquisition of testosterone and human growth hormone (HGH) was for his personal practice, not for the team or any of it's players.
Even if that is true, I'm sure NFL teams don't want to be anywhere near someone that deals in that type of stuff. Although, to play devil's advocate, I'm sure most (if not all) medical doctors will have non-athlete patients that might require the legal usage of those substances. The doctor, Dr. Richard Rydze, purchased about $150,000 worth of the two PED's on his personal credit card. His name, along with many other professional athletes and trainers, was on a customer log for a pharmacy in Florida that was recently busted for illegal steroid distribution.
