Four current franchises have never beaten a team in the regular season that has gone on to win that season's superbowl.
Three of them are recent expansion teams (Panthers, Browns and Texans). The Texans will fall off this list if the Colts win the superbowl this year.
Who is the fourth team that has never beaten the eventual superbowl winner in the regular season that year?

Educated guess: Arizona?

good guess (based on their futility), but no. They beat the 49ers in 1988
How about the Seattle Seahawks?

no, not them either. They beat the Raiders in 1983
I just found this question and thought it was good. I saw that it was abandoned so I had to look it up. I found wins versus eventual SB champs for everyone except the Buccaneers. By the way, the 'old Browns' beat the 49ers in '81 and the Texans beat the Colts (as the original poster said), which leaves the Bucs, Panthers and 'new Browns'.

Exactly right.
I usually will post the answer after some dead time, but I had forgotten about this post. Thanks for reviving

Good question. Do you have any more?
