Why is the Hiesman winner picked so low on your draft, redlegsfan21?

He doesn't project well to the NFL.

Well, a lot of teams probably will not take a chance on Troy Smith. Baltimore, who can't rely on McNair forever will probably just take this chance and have him do what Carson Palmer did a few years ago.

Jeff Samardzija has chosen baseball over football. So that takes two players out of the predictions. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2736354

Then why do you have them taking H.B. Blades, and San Diego taking Smith?

Probably just a mix up while he was typing it up. No way San Diego would take a QB in the 1st with Rivers already secured.

A lot of sites predict that the Raiders will pick Russel instead of Quinn as the #1 overall pick. I don't follow college football so I want to ask you guys who followed these tw. Who do you think is better?

I think Russell is the better athlete, Quinn the better player. However, if the Raiders do take a QB with that #1 slot, then they should take Russell, who is more mobile, and will be able to avoid getting sacked as much.

Brooks is the better athlete. Collins is the better player. If the Raiders are smart, they'll go with Quinn. But thats assuming anyone in that organization has a thread of intelligence.

I don't see Troy Smith being a first round selection, nor do I see the Lions passing on Joe Thomas. I see things falling like these guys have here:

Execpt I think the Dolphins will take Quinn, and the Texans will take Brown. I also think the Cowboys and the Cards may trade their picks to someone else. That late there aren't too many players that jump out at the Cowboys, they need a safety, OL help, a pass rusher, a safety (CB possibly), and perhaps a run stopper. With the 22nd pick they probably trade it away so they can get two picks the next year. I personally am not too fond of this year's class, so I think the Cowboys will pass up this time. The Cards on the other hand need a dominat OLman and unless they can get Thomas I see them trading them.
PS Anyone watching the Big 10 tourney?

I think the bolded are way too high, and I think that you have Ginn and Nelson a little low.

I heard from a local radio station that the Raiders will be better off picking Calvin Johnson in the first pick. Does anyone agree? Personally, I would stick with a QB.
