Are they tipping their hand in who they're listing first in the article?

Only four of the six spots listed, two more could join them in enshrinement.

Well, yeah, but why are they highlighting four of them by putting their names in the beginning of the article? This isn't a news agency article, this is the HOF itself. They shouldn't be touting candidates like that.
The final vote won't be until Super Bowl weekend, anyway, so it's not like they know. I'm just not a fan of what seems like an endorsement. I am not against the induction of any of the four, and do expect Tagliabue and Thomas.

Since 6 guys can be enshrined, here are mine.
1) Michael Irvin- great wideout for those cowboy teams.
2) Bruce Matthews- played in a LOT of Pro Bowls.
3) Art Monk- held the receiving records before Rice- what's taking them so long?
4) Andre Reed- great wideout 10,000 all purpose yards.
5) Thurman Thomas- very overlooked better than others think.
6) Richard Dent- as a Bears fan, we know him well here in Chicago, and should be in.
Others who may get in in the future.
Ray Guy- Just cause he's a punter doesn't mean he shouldn't be in.
Derrick Thomas- The Thurman Munson of football. Had the numbers
Paul Tagliabue
Steve Grogan- If Namath could get in, why not this guy?

Not bad. I can all but guarantee at least one of the Seniors candidates will make it, they always do. Charlie Sanders is the way I'm leaning, although I wouldn't be surprised if Gene Hickerson makes it.
They won't elect three receivers. Irvin has the best shot, and I think he'll get in. Monk should, but having Gary Clark and Ricky Sanders as teammates has hurt him. It's kind of hard to standout when you are part of an exceptional receiving corps. Reed also will take a backseat to Irvin.
Bruce Matthews will likely get in. I would be shocked if Paul Tagliabue isn't rewarded for his time as Commissioner. Thurman Thomas is another whose election I expect.
As a Bears fan, I'd love to see Dent in. It won't be this year, probably. Derrick Thomas has a good shot this year. Ray Guy has been on the ballot forever. The increase of Senior candidates hurts a specialist like Guy.
Bob Kuechenberg just missed his first year as a finalist a couple years ago, and has lost a little momentum, which is a shame. He does deserve it. I can't see the rest of the finalists making it. As far as Steve Grogan goes, there's a long line of QB's that he's only part of. He'll never be a finalist. Namath got in because he is viewed as bigger than his numbers.
