Answer the question.

I honestly think they'll lose to the Chargers in the second round. However, I hope they'll win the Super Bowl.

They will beat New York. It will be close but it will be a clear victory. They will move on to face San Diego or Baltimore and have a chance despite the great odds against them.

They played Baltimore well last year and even though it would be down in Baltimore they could still beat out the less than great Baltimore offense. Their defenses will match up well, New England will have Harrison back and will have a chip on their shoulder after the cheap hit he got.

San Diego wil come down two two things:

Rookie quarterback. Even if he has been in the leaguy for 3 years he is still just a rookie in terms of experience. Bill Bellicheck knows how to manhandle rookies to exploit their weeknesses and beat them. Just look at what he did to Ben Roethlisberger in 2004.

Marty Schottenheimer. Give an inch and the Patriots will take a mile. If you are conservative at the wrong moments like he is prone to being the Patriots will make you pay. Just look at what they did to St. Louis, Carolina, and Philly in the Super Bowl and you see why you shouldn't be too cautious with them.

I think they'll get stoned in the AFC Championship.

I have no problem with since it means they got through San Diego or Baltimore.

Nor do I. Going by who the best team is, I would rather play Baltimore as a Patriots fan. But going by matchups, I think San Diego would be the team I'd rather play. Plus, it sets up the possibility of a Ravens-Patriots AFC Championship game, and I can't go wrong there. The Patriots still have one of the best run defenses in the NFL, even if they aren't all that good against the pass. We'll see how Rivers plays, and that is most likely the wild card. The Chargers' pass defense is about average if you take away their blitzing LBs, which is not something that will likely happen. However, if the tackles can keep the pressure off Brady, then the Patriots will have a shot against San Diego. Against Baltimore, it will be close, and I don't feel like going into detail. I'd predict something along the lines of 10-9, and it will all come down to how well the secondary can cover Mark Clayton, who always seems to make a big play or two. But Brady and the O-line are in for a rough day if they face Baltimore.
