President Gerald Ford passed away last night.
While he is an underrated President he originally was a member of two undefeated National Championship Michigan teams(1932 and 1933), was a two way star playing center and linebackre, had his #48 retired by Michigan, and gave up a chance to play for the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers in order to coach and attend law school at Yale.
I knew about his football prowess but I didn't know he actually had a shot to go to the NFL in the pre-draft days until I heard it this morning.
His museum, where he'll be buried in the area, is quite nice. A highlight of any visit to Grand Rapids, Michigan.

I saw a 5 minute clip ESPN did on President Ford and I had no idea he was such an impressive athlete. He always got the rap as a klutz, but he was probably the most athletic President.

Do you guys know that NCAA commercial promoting the student athlete. In that commercial is Gerald Ford. If you don't know which photo, it is the one with the football player that has the word "president" on top of it.
