Defensive End Aaron Schobel who lead the NFL through 14 games with 13.5 sacks was voted to start in the Pro Bowl that will be played on February 10 in Honolulu.
Schobel was a second round pick by the Bills out of TCU in the 2001 draft. This is his third year with double digit sacks. He currently has a total of 57.5 sacks in his six year career.
Punter Brian Moorman also received the recognition of Pro Bowl voters. A special teams standout this season, Moorman has landed 34.9% of all his punts inside opponents' 20 yard lines -- pinning opposing teams deep in their own territory and stretching the field for the Bills' defense. Amazingly, only five of Moorman's 83 punts have resulted in touchbacks all season.
I've been advocating this all year and needless to say am very happy to see Moorman and Schobel get the recognition they deserve. They've been two of the few bright spots in an otherwise lackluster season in Buffalo.
