As for me, I think the Chargers will do it. LaDainian Tomlinson is the best player in football, and Philip Rivers is very, very good, and Antonio Gates is outstanding. No early playoff exit this year. They're going all the way!

As for the AFC runner-up, I gotta go with the Ravens. They look pretty immovable on D, and the O gets it done. For the NFC, the Cowboys will lose the NFC Championship game to the Saints, who will lose to the Chargers in the "Drew Brees bowl". Yep, those are MY bold predictions. What are yours?

Before you throw too many greenbacks behind the Chargers remember that Marty Schottenheimer is still the head coach and you know what that means -- come January it's Martyball time.

He becomes ultra conservative. He has trouble managing the clock. He just turns into a wiggling, jiggling plate of jello!

I've seen this happen too many times with Marty's teams to get sucked into believing in one of them again. I'm not saying they absolutely won't win it all. But if they do, it'll likely be inspite of Schottenheimer.
