Art Shell is wasting no time in stirring things up. Before even reporting to training camp, he has named 2nd Round pick OLB Thomas Howard and 3rd round pick RG Paul McQuistan as starters before even heading into camp. 1st round pick Michael Huff is also in some discussion for being in the mix at Safety.
I personally like this. It shows that Shell is willing to do whatever it takes to get the Raiders back into the Playoffs. At the very least, it will fire up the veteran players to go out and give it a little extra to retain their starting jobs.
