I know the season hasn't concluded yet but we're 3/4s of the way there and I'm interested in PSF poster's picks for rookie of the year on the offensive side of the line of scrimmage.

The Sleeper
Marques Colston, WR/TE, New Orleans: 54 Rec, 869 Yards, 7 TD.

The QBs
Vince Young, Tennessee: 50.2 CMP%, 64.8 QB Rating, 10 passing TD, 342 rushing yards, four rushing touchdowns.

Matt Lienart, Arizona: 55.6 CMP%, 72.1 QB Rating, 8 passing TD.

The RBs
Joseph Addai, Indianapolis: 845 YDS, 4.9 AVG, 7 TD & 30 receptions for 245 yards and another score.

Reggie Bush, New Orleans: 368 YDS, 3.1 AVG, 4 TD & 73 receptions for 562 yards and another score, 198 punt return yards and one more score.

Laurence Maroney, New England: 624 YDS, 4.0 AVG, 4 TD & 18 receptions for 188 yards and another score, 774 kick return yards, 28.7 AVG.

Maurice Jones-Drew, Jacksonville: 500 YDS, 5.3 AVG, 7 TD & 32 receptions for 317 yards and two more scores, 580 kick return yards, 25.2 AVG.

The WRs
Santonio Holmes, Pittsburgh: 37 Rec, 585 YDS, 15.8 AVG, 1 TD & 390 kick return yards, 24.2 AVG, 180 punt return yards, 8.8 AVG.

Greg Jennings, Green Bay: 38 Rec, 575 YDS, 15.1 AVG, 3 TD.

Who is the PSF 2006 Offensive Rookie of the Year going to be? You decide.

Joseph Addai is my choice, he had big shoes to fill and he has shown he can play with one of the best offenses in the league.

I'd rank them in this order:

Colston
Addai
Maroney
Leinart (practically interchangable with below)
Young (practically interchangable with above)
Bush
Holmes
Jones-Drew
Jennings

Colston lost the ROY the moment he got hurt. He was still at the green light, while everyone else was zooming by.

As of right now, it's Colston. He was so far ahead that when he got hurt everyone else needed a few weeks to catch up. Addai is close, but I'd still go with Colston for now. By the end of the year, however, it'll probably be Addai, or maybe Maroney, or (dare I say) Vince Young.

Maurice Jones-Drew sure helped his case today. He rushed for 166 yards on 15 carries -- that's only an average of 11.1 yards per rush. Jones-Drew scored two rushing touchdowns and caught one pass for 15 yards.

He scored another touchdown on a kickoff return that he returned 93 yards. He had 109 kickoff return yards on the day and one punt return for 13 more yards. This guy does it all. And has been all season if you check his stats.

These are Jones-Drew's current season totals: 666 rushing yards, 6.1 yards per rush, 9 rushing touchdowns; 33 receptions for 332 yards and 2 receiving touchdowns; 689 kick return yards with 1 more touchdown, 13 punt return yards.

So far on the season that's exactly 1,700 all-purpose yards for the 8-5 Jaguars. This guy is pretty good. But he doesn't have my vote yet.

In the list of others who definitely deserve consideration are rookie offensive linemen: Marcus McNeill, tackle, San Diego; Nick Mangold, center, New York Jets; D'Brickashaw Ferguson, tackle, New York Jets.

I know it is easy to over look them. But they definitely deserve consideration.

Anybody else got some rookie O-Lineman to enter into the discussion?

I like Jones-Drew. He's a small guy who's tough and is a power back. I'm leaning towards a running back for the ROY. You've got Maroney, Norwood, Jones-Drew, Addai, Washington, and Bush. This will be good to see who wins.

If I had to give it to an O-Lineman it would be Marcus McNeill. He's been instrumental in LT's record breaking year. His dad was PE teacher at my middle school, his dad is a big guy too.

Colston may be trying to win the ROY back, because he's playing tonight against the Cowboys.
