I wondered about that yesterday, I knew it would be close. Do they go by the polls? At least both would have agreed there - Florida.
But, what if the polls had differed, and the computers had split, too, with the result being a tie? Do they have provisions for that? Stength of schedule (though it's not the regular BCS)? Strength of victories? Head to head, if any? Rock, paper, scissors live on ESPN? Mass defection to Switzerland of all the people who designed the system?
