Doing a little research and I need help on a couple of things. First off, are any of these bowls Division I-AA: Camellia Bowl, Fort Worth Classic, Harbor Bowl, Pasadena Bowl, Raisin Bowl, San Diego East-West Christmas Classic, Shrine Bowl.

Second, I'm trying to find the stadium for the Fort Worth Classic.

Third, I need all the information available about the Aluminum Bowl in Little Rock.

Thanks in advance.

OK, answering your 3rd question first.

The Aluminum Bowl, played in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1956 was the first ever NAIA (National Assocciation of Intercollegiate Atheletics) Championship game. The game was played by Montana St and St Joseph's (IN). The 2 teams played to a 0-0 tie and were crowned co-champs of the NAIA.

Since then, the game has been called by different names. The 1956 one was the only one called the Aluminum Bowl though. Currently the NAIA Championship game is held in Savannah, Tennesee.

OK, 2nd question.

The Fort Worth Classic was again, played only once. It was played in Fort Worth, Texas in 1921. Centre College defeated TCU 63-7. TCU's current football field is Amon G Carter Stadium, which was built in 1929. This replaced Clark Field. So Clark Field was the stadium the game was played in.

There is also a Fort Worth Bowl, now called the Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl, but that is a different game. That is played in Amon G Carter Stadium, and has a Mountain West Team playing in it. I think for the next coulpe of years, their opponents will be from Conference USA.

And 1st question.

Camellia Bowl- A 1 time played Div 1 bowl game. Played by Hardin Simmons and Wichita State in 1948. Hardin Simmons won 49-12. The game was played in McNaspy Stadium in Lafayette, LA. The name was used at one time for the NCAA Div 2 Championship game, but was dropped. It is now ust called the NCAA Div 2 Championship game.

Fort Worth Classic- Already answered that one for ya in my 2nd answer.

Harbor Bowl- Played for 3 yrs from 1947-1949 in Balboa Stadium, San Diego, CA. Teams involved were smaller Div 1 teams- New Mexico, Montana St, Hardin Simmons, San Diego St, Villanova, and Nevada

Pasadena Bowl- Played for 5 yrs from 1967-1971. Also called the Junior Rose Bowl. Originally made to pair top junior college teams. Teams that lpayed in it- West Texas A&M, Cal St-Northridge, Grambling State, Sacremento St, San Diego St, Boston University, Long Beach St, Louisville, Memphis St, and San jose St

Raisin Bowl- Played for 5 yrs, from 1946-1949. The first 4 were played on Jan 1, but the last one on Dec 30, so there were actually 2 of them in 1949. The bowl pitted a California team against an at large team. It took place in Ratcliffe Stadium in Fresno, CA.

San Diego East-West Christmas Classic- Was played for 2 yrs. In 1921, Centre defeated Arizona 38-0. In 1922, West Virginia defeated Gonzaga 21-13.

Shrine Bowl- I don't think you are talking about the famous East-West Shrine Bowl here. There was a Shrine Bowl played in 1948. Hardin Simmons defeated Ouachita Baptist 40-12. The game was played in Little Rock, Arkansas

It is kind of hard to tell whether some of these Bowl games were Div 1-AA or not, however, I would classify them as such due to the teams that played in them. Some of the schools no longer have football, some of the schools are now Div 1, but most were small schools at the times of these games.

Hope I helped you out somewhat.

I'd venture a guess here but I think it breaks down this way:

The Raisin Bowl would be a full 1A bowl since most of the schools are 1A schools, just from lesser conferences(WAC, Mountain West, etc.)

The Pasadena Bowl would be a 1AA bowl but was a Division 1 bowl then due to no 1AA until a few years after, that explains why Louisville was in there.

The Harbor Bowl would be a borderline 1A/1AA bowl, more likely 1AA

The San Diego East-West Christmas Classic would be 1A

I was on CFB Data Warehouse and I was looking at the bowl games checking data and I noticed that they considered the galleryfurniture.com Bowl to be seperate from the EV1.net Houston Bowl while connecting the Houston Bowl to the Texas Bowl. Meanwhile, I had just the opposite. Any clarification on this would be nice.

They are connected by they are not connected, they are connected in that the game is essentially the same game held in the same city but they are not connected in that the Galleryfurniture.com Bowl was held in the Astrodome and the latter two are/were held in Reliant Stadium.

Galleryfurniture.com Bowl and Houston Bowl are connected directly with the only difference being new stadium and new title sponsor.

The Houston Bowl and the Texas Bowl are connected in that when EV1.net's contract ended the Houston Bowl was in debt and the bowl was taken over by the Houston Texans' subsidiary Lone Star Sports and Entertainment who then remade the bowl game into the Texas Bowl with a new look, new TV contract, and new affiliations(temporarilly).

You can write it down however you like, but it's really just the same game with a new name.
