All deserving players. I'm a little surprised that both senior nominees made it. And I certainly didn't think Rickey Jackson or Russ Grimm would get into Canton in this election cycle.

One thing that would have made the class far more credible is the inclusion of DT Cortez Kennedy (Seattle Seahawks). That's because he was a better DT than any of the other 2010 inductees were at their respective positions. Including Emmit Smith and Jerry Rice.

Care to revisit this? Rice is easily the best WR to ever take the field, and in the discussion to best football player ever. Smith is arguably the best RB ever. Can you honestly say that Kennedy was the best DT to ever play the game? Because you need to do that to back up your claim, and I can't think of anyone who would make that claim about Kennedy. He was an excellent player, but no way was he the best all time DT.

BTW, Floyd Little was a fine player, but I think it's a stretch to put him into the hall.

Honestly, he can't. But then he's not particularly honest when it comes to the Seahawks.
Kennedy honestly is in line behind Charles Haley and Richard Dent when it comes to Defensive Linemen. I would have accepted either of them getting in instead of Randle.
This is a good class. I was surprised Floyd Little did get in, but the rest are more than qualified and am pleased both Grimm and Jackson received their just due. Canton was nuts the year I wnet to the induction ceremony. (Marino, Young, and the long deceased Seniors candidates Benny Friedman and Fritz Pollard). I can only imagine how it would be for seven living inductees that include two such prominent players like Rice and Smith. And to think there was talk Bret Favre would have been part of this class, too.
Now that Rice is off the ballot, they can deal with that WR logjam they've created.

Yes Cortez Kennedy was a far better DT than Jerry Rice was a WR or Emmit Smith was a RB. That is just the basic facts. What is imprtant to bear in mind is that it doesn't matter that nobody watched Kennedy/the Seahawks on T.V. like they did Rice and Smith. That is just a red herring that has no bearing on his true abilities.
That is just the nature of the East Coast Media Bias.

It's always funny whyen the most biased poster in the entire Fever communcity keeps harping on something he has shown he really doesn't understand. Yep, East Coast bias for players who did NOT play on the East Coast.
Every post of yours is a red herring. Talk about blind agendas.

OK, you are the only person on the planet who believes that, but you are entitled to your opinion.
BTW, I'll tell Merlin Olsen, Bob Lilly, Randy White, Buck Buchanan, Alan Page, Reggie White and Joe Greene that they've all moved down the pecking order for DT's
If Kennedy had not gone out with an injury and, essentially, shortened his career by a few years (11 years doesn't seem like a long career nowadays) he very likely would be in by now. That, just like with hard-hitting Kenny Easley, is what has hurt him, not perceived East Coast bias toward whomever regardless of where they actually played.
Kennedy, just like every candidate on the ballot, and that goes back to the preliminary round, earned their share of accolades throughout their careers. Just like every candidate, Kennedy was a multi-time pro bowl player who received all pro recognition. They didn't ignore him, didn't forget who he was. There were simply better candidates this time out. That is far more fact than a singular and unsubstantiated opinion he was the greatest DT of all time.
I do support Kennedy's eventual election. He has his spot in line, though, behind a few other players.

I didn't realize that San Francisco was on the East Coast.

East Coast Media Bias is just a catch-all phrase to show certain teams get focused on above and beyond what they actually deserve in reality, while other teams get ignored and underestimated baselessly.
(Nobody thinks of the whole Planet Earth when they say "World Series" either. That is just a turn of the phrase.)

Actually, it's not. It very much means bias toward East Coast teams, usually New York and Boston, by a national media dominated by folks from New York and Boston.
Not having your own biases met hardly screams an unfair election. Good choices all around, no real snubs in light of who was elected.
