I have to say that I've been thoroughly impressed by the Saints so far this season. It's still early and the Saints have yet to play anyone in the division. I have to say the Saints looked pretty amazing against the Giants this past weekend, so we'll see where this goes.

The Saints made the the Giants look simply silly yesterday. You might have a monstor down there in New Orleans. But we're very early in the season . . .

The Saints are now 8-0. They finally got the monkey off their backs by handing Jake Delhomme his first loss in the Superdome.

If I were a Jedi, I'd say I have a bad feeling about this game: @Washington 12/6. :dismay:

Since I don't know my midi-chlorian count, I can't be absolutely sure. I mean it seems foolish to even consider that the 11-0 juggernaut Saints could be marching into "a trap!" Chris Cooley and Chris Horton are out for the season. Albert Haynesworth probably won't play. Phillip Daniels hasn't had a sack since Anakin was racing pods. Clinton Portis, Ladell Betts probably won't be on the field and the Saints have these guys named Darren Sharper, Malcolm Jenkins and Jabari Greer that can shut down just about any passing game -- not that it would matter against the skins.

But, Andre Carter and London Fletcher are capable of doing some damage. And the skins' secondary might be difficult to throw against in messy Washington, not even talking about the weather!

Could all of Jim Zorn's previous incompetence have been mere subterfuge? Is Jim Zorn a Sith Lord? And if so, "is he the master or the apprentice?"

The Redskins could pull off a huge upset today. I kind of doubt it but I've got a bad feeling about this.

I guess I'm not a Jedi, or am I? The Saints won 33 to 30 in over time. The Redskin's jumped out to a big lead early, squandered it, came back, squandered it again and missed a key field goal late in the fourth quarter, allowing the Saints to tie the score and win in OT.

Robert "OB1 Kenobi" Meachem was amazing! He caught one touchdown. Had 142 receiving yards and when Drew Brees tossed an interception to the Redskins, Meachem, pulled a straight up jedi move -- running over to the interceptor, stripping the ball and returning it for a Saints touchdown! The Force is strong with this one.

Darth Campbell nearly had the game won, but like that meter by meter exhaust shaft that lead to the reactor core on the Death Star and was left completely unprotected, anti-Sith Kicker Shaun Suisham completely pulled about a 20 yard field goal and cost his team the win. :disbelief: What a deus ex machina! Jim Zorn is like the Darth Maul of Siths!

Saints frankly got lucky. A poor FG attempt (that should cost Suisham is job), and a fumble in OT handed them to game. But in spite of it all, Brees is the MVP of the league IMO.

You can call luck and I agree with you, but good teams find a way to win ball games and that's what the Saints did. 12-0 NFC South Champs...

Congrats to the Saints and the fans on New Orleans' first Super Bowl appearance.

This team did turn into a monster!

You called it. I stayed up until about two in the morning celebrating and I still had a hard time falling asleep.
