In just his third rookie start QB Matthew Stafford has delivered the Lions to within nine to 12 wins from the promised land. Of course, it won't help if those wins come over the course of the entire Obama Administration.

Let's see, the last time the Lions won ... George Dubya Bush was president, Lehman Brothers was still in business, Wall Street hadn't lost countless trillions of USD on credit default swaps and toxic subprime mortgages and let's not forget the lovely derivative trading!

But hey the Lions won :hyper: . So :wave: goodbye to your job. It's being sent to China. And :clap: for some bankers on Wall Street who gambled away your pension and 401k. And don't worry Republicans, universal health care :dismay: isn't going to happen. It's been a long time since Detroit won anything and that didn't change yesterday.

It was an ugly win, but a win none the less! We'll take any that we can get, that's for damn sure. Still, though, we're looking at a team with yet another top-10 draft pick for next season. I think we got a decent chance to win three of the next five games (Rams, Seahawks, and Browns), but the final six are a big OUCH waiting to happen.

We're going in the right direction now, though, and by this time next year we'll be turning a few heads for the right reasons. The two-headed GM needs to have another strong draft and some savy free-agency moves.
