"Bubbles" the Lion has gone through a makeover, which one could only hope will also take place with his team.

Press Release (http://www.detroitlions.com/press_releases.cfm)

The team is trying it's best to distance itself from the NFL's first 0-16 team that we all loved and enjoyed so much last season. Personally, this is secondary to the firing of Millen, a move which will give us the most needed change within this inept franchise. Still, the new logo isn't half bad. Bubbles looks a bit more ferocious, and will surely cause numerous broke Detroiters to shell out a few bucks for the latest in Lions fashion.

Basically, they just carved a few details into the existing logo, and "customized" the team's official font (and no, not Wayne). Bubbles finally has some teeth, which drafting Aaron Curry would do for our team defense. Alas, someone else will take the super-freak since we're stuck on looking for Jumpin' Joey's replacement at QB, and unfortunately Bubbles will be the only thing associated with the franchise that'll have any teeth.

Please take a moment to look over the new logo and vote in the poll. :type:

Look what the Patriots have done after redesigning their logo. Even the Bengals made the super bowl when they did it back in 1982.

Nothing drastic, but not bad. Positive change is sorely needed and any little bit helps.

Another change I would suggest is the music they play after a TD. Not that we've heard it much lately, but it's pretty dated and annoying. Not as annoying as the "April in the D" song that FSNDetroit plays over and over (and over), but it's right up there.

I like it. Hopefully the change results in some winning.
