Roy L. Williams, a five-time pro bowl safety for Dallas, and defensive end Jason Taylor are on the free agent market.

The Eagles signed former Browns' safety Sean Jones on Friday. Jones, however, will in no way replace Brian Dawkins but Roy L. Williams might be able to.

Jason Taylor, a six-time pro bowl DE, would look awfully good in an Eagles uniform -- lining up on the other side of DE Juqua Parker to pressure opposing QBs.

What do you think? should the Eagles pursue, Williams or Taylor? Or should Philly just assume that both are either injury ridden or over the hill?

The Eagles have lost left tackle William (Tra) Thomas to free agency. He signed a three year deal with the Jaguars. This is a huge loss but not unexpected. I'm waiting for John Runyan to leave soon.

I'm hoping we package our two first round draft picks and move up to get an elite offensive lineman and grab a decent tackle off the free agent market.

Here's what the Eagles did so far this off season: no upgrade at wide out; no upgrade at tight end; no upgrade at running back; huge losses on the offensive line; the secondary is a mess and Sean Jones is supposed to make it all better.

The Eagles better have a good draft and pick up some decent free agents or the team will be mediocre at best and I really hope that doesn't happen.
