I've been watching the Eagles play since Randall Cunnigham lead an offense featuring Herschel Walker, Mike Quick and Keith Jackson. And Jerome Brown, Reggie White, Clyde Simmons and Eric Allen were shutting down offenses.

My memory of the Eagles goes back a while. Long enough to know that Philly fans, they eat their own.

With that in mind should the Eagles retain Donovan McNabb? The franchise has made seven playoff appearances in the last nine years, has played in five or six conference championships and appeared in a Superbowl -- largely thanks to McNabb's leadership.

On the other side, his detractors say "he can't win the big one". The same thing that haunted John Elway until the end of his career and Dan Marino his whole stint in the NFL.

So, is it time for Philly to move on and implode the Eagles or retain McNabb and build a better team around him, in anticipation of at least another five to seven good years?
