If Warren wasn't forced to go toil in the CFL for six seasons what kind of career passing numbers do you think he would have had? Here are his actual career NFL passing stats.

Touchdowns
291 (6th)

Passing Yds
49,325 (4th)

Completions
3,988 (4th)

Interceptions
233 (13th)

He would be in the top 3 of TDs, passing YDs, and completions.

Moon put up some big NFL numbers away from the run and shoot Oilers, so I could see him as the guy who's records Bret Favre would have been going after. Or still might be.

I estimate maybe 80 more TDs...hat would have put him third all time behind Marino and Favre...he would have set the record but Marino would have broken it not long after.

He would have had about 1500 more passing yards...second all time and broken by Favre who would have had no choice but to come back this past season to break it.

He would have had about 2628 more pass attempts...a record that Favre would still have to break!

The passing books would have been rewritten but only for a year or two as Marino would pass him by and then Favre but it's pretty clear that he lucked out on some major milestones that would have put him at the top three all time on every list hands down.

Remember that he was drafted by the Seahawks, IIRC, which would have meant a few years toiling for an awful club. Of course, IIRC, they wanted to convert him (to what? WR, was it?) So, maybe another team grabs him instead. (In "If Basebal Integrates Early," a story of baseball itnegrated fromt he start with a 6-8 pages section on the effect on the NFL, I have him drafted by the Oilers, and staying at QB. I don't go into records much, though, as this is mostly a baseball tome.)

He had some good teams in Houston, but I'm not sure if the run and shoot caused him to sthrow more than he might have otherwise. However, I would say ATLFalcons is certainly right, barring injury - unless he's with a truly abyssmal team his whole career, he's at least in the top 3 in each. And, even with a really bad team, he's probably got a Sonny Jurgensen-type career with HOF staatus eventually.

He went undrafted which is why he went on to play in the CFL in the first place.

Tight end according to him.
