Who is the only player in NFL history to have (in a career) rushed for at least 5 TDs, caught at least 5 TDs, and thrown at least 5 TD passes?

Frank Gifford?

That would be my guess as well. I know the Giants had a halfback option pass when he played with them. He was a heck of a receiver as well.

Tomlinson?
I know LT has thrown for 5 TD's. So by that logic my answer would be the same as Packer Backer.

I was also thinking as a long shot.....Elway? I know he has enough rushing and trowing TDs. I seem to remember the Broncos having a play they ran a few times where the HB would sweep one way, pull up and throw back to Elway running down the opposite sideline. I remember 2 or 3 TDs from Elway doing this, maybe he got 5?

I can tell you that it's Tomlinson. I just looked up his stats. He threw 3 TD's last year alone.

I would've thought it to be a player from the 40's or 50's when most guys played more than one position. But, LT does have 5 career TD passes, 10 receiving, and 84 rushing.

Tomlinson would've been my guess among modern players.

Well, if Tomlinson has done it, then there is 2, and not 1 that have done it.

I apologize that this question was poorly researched. The only player I originally found was Tomlinson, which was the answer I was looking for.
Looking up Gifford, he is clearly another answer. He has 34 rushing TDs, 43 receiving and 14 passing.
Further, looking again at my source, the data was only from the start of the AFL (1960), which may explain why Gifford was missed. It is entirely possible that there were many more from the early days as well.

Lol, Brooklyn, seeing as how you are from NY, I actually thought you had Gifford in mind from the start.
Another idea had popped into my head, and upon checking on it, I am correct. The "Golden Boy" Paul Hornung also accomplished this feat.

I looked up Hornung! I guess I overlooked his 5 passing TDs.

No, I was actually looking for LaDainian, but I can see the NY connection. Tomlinson just accomplished this this year. I noticed a few weeks ago he hit the 5 career TD mark, and was curious how many others (i.e non quarterbacks) have done it. My research was obviously short, as Hornung is another, and I'd speculate there are more from days when players were less specialized.
