Here's an idea, make a few more Super mods so we could deal with situations like the one happening today (9 Dec.). The site is just being covered with spam. Every forum is being hit and I can only protect my own forum.

We need to pull together to protect this forum. :goteam: I suggest making a few more of us section mods get turned into Super mods or bring a couple over from BBF to police this type of activity and ban the users responsible.

I volunteer to help. If that means I have to be a moderator, so be it. I am opposed to spam.

It seems the same anti-spam registration on Baseball Fever is now here!
I could get behind more supermods, though. Especially if the reduction of spam causes membership to increase.
If the spam issues go away, Seattle, would you no longer be interested? I have no say in that really, I'm just a mod here, but I'd endorse you.

The spam just got extremely worse.

I think those poster simply signed up earlier than the date Sean put in. Just diligence in removing it.

I would endorse you too. CCN, can we make members mods? In our Mod CP we can, but are we supposed to let Sean and the admins. do that?

This is really getting bad. I just "stickeyed" this thread to get more attention. While I was doing that, I saw all the spam that was deleted in this forum (mods can see the deleted forums.) It is REALLY bad. I'm gonna PM Sean to see if mods can make other people mods.

Just Sean and the admin.

The current registration process, which requires an e-mail to be sent to Sean for activation, has all but killed off the spambots. Fortunately, it's not really an issue anymore.

Unfortunately, we can't blame the spammers anymore for lack of traffic.

This site has all but died. I'd post more often but I'd just be talking, or in this case writing, to myself.

There are three or four posters on this forum who are responsible for virtually all of the content on it and trying to get most of the BBF posters interested is near impossible.

Yeah. I thought we could make this forum as big as BBF. But, there just hasn't been enough interest.

I just posted two new threads in Baseball-Fever.com basically begging for people to join Pigskin-Fever.com. I don't know if it will help.

We could go out and plug Pigskin-Fever.com on other message boards I suppose. But is that "spamming"?
