Can the Jags win the AFC South? They made the playoffs as a wild card last year and they have added some good pieces via the draft and free agency. Is this their year to dethrone the Colts?

Could see it happening. Depends on whether the Colts start 13-0.

And don't forget about the Miami Dolphins, they had a strong showing last year.

I don't even have the Jaguars making the playoffs as of right now, but the AFC South is basically a 2 team division so if the Colts struggle out of the gate or the loss of Edge turns out to be crippling to the Colts offense, then yeah the Jaguars will have a great chance at winning the division.

I get the sense that the Colts are ready to fall so Jax may be ready to get back to the good ol' days of Mark Brunell and Fred Taylor ;)

The Jags are so deep. Jack Del Rio has certainly proven himself as bona fide NFL Head Coach. And this is going to be Byron Leftwich's breakout year. He's in awesome shape.

Would love to see the Jags back in the playoffs. Not sure if I'd rather see the Colts. I guess it's time for a change. And I do love a team with such a great defense.

Wrong division buddy...
Anyway, the Jags might be able to do it, but I'm not so sure.

Oops!! I don't think the Jags can do it, because there's always an injury to Leftwich or Fred Taylor. If they can stay healthy all year the Colts reign is OVER.

Leftwich looked good last week. His legs look strong and quick. He planted that back foot and had plenty of drive off it.
The Jags always seem to play the Colts tough. The games are always close. Without James on the Colts, I think many teams will force the Colts to prove that they can run the ball, which means they will take away the pass. Peyton has done well with plenty of protection, but like any QB, put someone in his face all day and that's another story.

The Jags played a great game aginst the Cowpokies last week,BUT the Steelers loom on the horizon!! I have a bad feeling about this one, kids:eek: as long as Byron and Fred stay healthy,it may be OK.Hopefully the Jags will give the Dolts a run for their $$$,and win the darn division for a change!!

Well, the Jags played ugly, but beat the Steelers!! Hopefully this isn't how they'll play the rest of the season,or it'll be a loooooong season in Jagville.

The Jags are now 2-2. After beating the Steelers and Cowboys they were demolished by the Colts and Redskins.
This week they have a home game against the Jets. Since the Jets can't run the ball at all and are playing on the road -- where they've been surprisingly good this season, the Jags should win. Then the bye week sets up them up well for the pathetic Texans in week seven.
