What do you think of the draft? I really don't see drafting Mario in the first round as the right choice.

I actually like it when teams draft defensive players, or linemen with their first pick. I know the Texans picked number 1, but they helped solve an actual problem instead of drafting a marquee guy thats costs a lot of money and doesn't really help them right now. They have David Carr, and Domanick Davis. They don't need overpriced QB's and RB's. The Saints didn't really need Bush either.

The Jets got some heat for taking a lineman over Matt Leinart. The Jets have quarterbacks already, they don't need an overpriced Matt Leinart that will ammount to nothing in the NFL because like Jason White he played in one of the best offenses in college football history. They helped fill an actual need.

I thought the Bills had a much better draft than given credit for. Everybody wants to see their team pick big names though, and in reality a lot of those big names don't end up working out.

I think looking at their needs the Texans made the right decision. M. Williams was definitely the best defensive player in the draft and can start immediately. I am not yet convinced that Bush will be a big superstar. I have seen some college games and the defenses there arent as tough as in the NFL. Personally I think he's very overrated and ill need to see him play and excel on the NFL level to think that Bush will be a superstar. Plus Texans already have a good RB in Davis. They didnt need a QB that much and Young seems like the typical good college player but average NFL QB. The Texans had major gaps on the O-Line and in defense so they had a pretty good draft. Sometimes you dont choose the best player but the right one.

Yeah, besides teams always pick skill players number 1 it seems, and it doesn't always work out. I think the Saints made a bad decision taking Bush, as far as making their team better. However, after the Katrina disaster, they need a hot name like Bush to get fans to come out and see them so in that case maybe it was a good decision. They also had other needs.

I have never seen why the draft analysts always attack the teams that go against the norm and pick for their needs. The Bills did it, and they got attacked from all angles and judged by many to have had the worst draft.

When Mario Willians is the Defensive Rookie of the Year, Vince Young doesn't take a snap all year and Reggie Bush puts up lackluster numbers, you might think differently.

That's if that happens. Bush looks pretty good even if Vince doesn't.

Reggie's looking pretty good. Young is not. I'm not sure who the frontrunner for DRoY is right now, but Haloti Ngata should be up there somewhere.

Mario Williams registered 1.5 sacks against Miami last week. He does that a couple more times and those sacks start to add up fast.

In week five the Texans are on bye. In week six the Texans play the Cowboys. Williams is 6'7". You think maybe he'll knock down a few of Drew Bledsoe's passes? You think maybe he'll put the statuesque Bledsoe on his back a few times? I think we're just starting to see what Williams can do and all you haters are going to be thinkings Williams wasn't such a bad pick real soon.

As for Young, he's starting and he sucks and will continue to suck for years. Reggie Bush is playing well. But the transition from college to the NFL is by far the easiest on running backs, just cause Bush started fast doesn't mean he's going to finish up on top.

Unfortunately the Texans don't play the Saints this year or Williams would get a couple opportunities to flatten Bush. But they do play The Titans twice on Oct. 29 and Dec. 10 -- look for Williams to disrupt Young in those games -- which really isn't that hard.

That move just defined how dumb Texans managment is.
