Games i'm going to try to watch are bolded. One thing I hate about so many games being televised is that its impossible to choose which games to record. I have a VCR and DVD recorder which means I can do 2 at a time, but still. It's going to be hard because I think both USC and Notre Dame have shots at being upset so I want to get both games. Washington St.-Auburn, and Utah-UCLA also interest me though

I'll be in Columbus.

Those early games can be interesting because sometimes you get upsets, but you can also learn a lot about how well a team does against inferior competition.

51-0 certainly beats 31-17.

I'm very interested in how Tennessee and California turns out. It will be interesting how well Tennessee does after that disasterous year last year.

I am thinking that the Utah-UCLA game might be very entertaining to watch.

I just love non-conference games period, it is kind of like interleague in baseball. Except for the rivalries, which are also fun to watch, most of these teams rarely play each other or in some cases never have. Plus games like Utah-UCLA are really interesting, because Utah despite being a mid-major playing on the road in a huge stadium where 90K+ will be cheering against them, are actually favored immensely. Plus, even the loaded 04 Utah team never played a road game against a BCS conference team so it will a huge game for the Utes. If they can win it though, than things get really interesting.

If Tennessee loses, there is going to be a lot of howling from the fans. After last year, they need a good start.

I'm a big UCLA fan, but this game really worries me. The Bruins lost a lot of offense from last year and they had trouble on defense , thats not a good combination.
