The East Coast Prognosticaters say the Hawks won't do squat this year. No team in the last six years that was runner up in the Super Bowl made it back they say. Does this really matter ? They mention we lost Hutch on the "O" line, but we still have Big Walter Jones and Pork Chop has moved over to the left side. I think the Hawks got better as time went along last year and I think this will continue. The Hawks play St Louis, Arizona and San Francisco twice, along with games against old AFC West rivals Oakland and KC and San Diego on the road. We open the first month with The NY Giants and @ Chicago. I Pick the Hawks to win the division at 12-4 and home field advantage throughout the playoffs.

And we all know what the Hawks do at home. I really don't see another team in the NFC beating us this year, especially now that we have Branch. Any team with Bobby Engram as a 4th has a great reciving core, and we only lost one person in our offensive line, we still have pro bowl talent in it.

Learning a new position, even if it's another spot on the "O" line can't be easy, but Pork Chop has one of the best to learn from in Mr. Jones.

I can't believe we landed Branch. He can catch'em over the middle, as well as the deep balls. I guess in New England, no player is greater than the system, but I'm still in shock.

They'll finish the season 9-7 and get a wild card.

They are nearly unbeatable at home. Anyone who says they aren't going to the playoffs this year doesn't know what they're talking about.

Saying you only lost one player off the o-line is like saying the Bengals only lost one player in the playoff game against the Steelers. Hutchinson is a stud, and losing him hurts, a lot. They still have Jones, maybe the best LT in the league, but the left side of the line isn't overwhelming, as it once was.

They barely beat the Lions, but that game was an abberation, they will pound the Cards this week.

I think they are in great position now. I just hope the 49ers aren't a lot tougher than we thought they are. I say 11-5 is a definite, 12-4 is possible, and 13-3 is even possibly doable.

Denver and San Diego are our hardest games, other than that we are favorite to win every game on our schedual. Don't say it is definate, there are always upsets throughout the season, but with Alexander and Matt back, we should be in a good position to win most of our games.
