We kick off in one week at the sight of our Superbowl loss. Detroit has an increased passing game from Kitna, but I think we have this game pretty easy still.

I think you guys will win in Detroit this weekend, but it won't be as easy as most everyone expects it to be. The Lions are an entirely different team this season, even if most of the personell is the same. Mike Martz and his crazy offensive schemes are going to be something exciting to watch all season long, especially with guys like Kevin Jones and Roy Williams starring in it.
My prediction: Seahawks 34, Lions 24

Okay, so I was a little off, lol. Still, I bet there weren't many football fans anywhere that expected the Lions to play such great defense against the high-scoring 'Hawks. A 9-6, last-second loss to the Seahawks isn't all that terrible of a way to start the season. Perhaps it's a sign that things are finally turning around in Detroit. I hope it isn't a sign that Seattle is really missing Steve Hutchinson. We managed to hold Alexander to minimal yardage, and kept the whole team out of the end zone. But I also predicted that Williams and Jones would step up big for us, and neither did. I thought Jason Hanson could have made that 54-yarder to take the lead in the 4th quarter, but since his 52-yard attempt was tipped, the new coach didn't want to chance giving you guys the ball in such great field position. I guess it didn't matter, as the Lions D was at it's worst at the most critical moment. Either way, this wasn't a boring game to watch, regardless of the score. I'm sure most Seattle fans were nervous, but alot of Detroit fans finally had a nice, aggressive (and successful) defense to cheer for. Great game, IMO, but a tough loss.

You guys played tough for the whole game. I was really worried in the 4th for a while. I don't belive in the Superbowl curse, but this was getting me edgey.
Good game, and I think we could see you guys in the playoffs.
