I once lived in Phoenix and followed the team when Jake was at the helm.

But now looking at some of the players on the roster, I can not help but wonder if there is a shot for a playoff spot...

No. Cardinals got some good players in the offseason and may have had the best draft of any team, but their o-line is bad. Nobody wins with a bad o-line.

I think they do have a shot. Their record will be 10-6 and they'll get a Wild Card.

I think they can dethrone the Cards..... as long as their O-Line holds up. They have a solid defense, great recievers, a good running back, and two good quarterbacks, the only group that needs to cooperate is the behemoths up front.

Not unless your hair caught on fire while you were puffing a cigarette and spraying about a can worth of AquaNet on your head -- trying to reproduce one of those "way cool" 1980s' hair styles.

So, if your head is in fact on fire, right now, then yes be excited!

Buf if you meant is there a reason to be excited about the Cardinals, sadly no.

BIG or BUST

Arizona Cardinals, posibly a big condender for representing the NFC in the Super Bowl or will they get crushed by the NFC West before they can even make it to the playoffs? Could Arizona posibly beat the Seattle Seahawks? Or would they have already been crushed by the 49ers or the St. Louis Rams?

As our feathered friend from the ATL points out, they have the best receivers in football. I would take Fitzgerald and Boldin over anyone, including Harrison/Wayne and Johnson/Houshmandzadeh. And obviously their RB is pretty good. But it's just not enough without the line. I also think their D will not be very good.

But the bottom line with the Cardinals is: They're the Cardinals.

I think their defense is underrated!! The defense is the sleeper, their linebackers are tackling machines and the secondary and D-Line are solid. I'll put a wager on the Cardinals season!! Any takers??
