Well since the season has gotten underway, I decided to start this thread. Steve Spurrier pulled out a trick play today, and South Carolina is about to beat Mississippi State. I don't know the final score but I am assuming Boston College won. I'm really looking forward to the weekend and on Monday Florida State plays Miami.

Samford defeated Miles 37-7 at Seibert Stadium. Both are
Birmingham schools. In 2007, Birmingham will have four
college football teams: UAB, Division I; Samford, Division IA;
Miles, Division II; and Birmingham-Southern, Division III.

Birmingham-Southern renews college football next season
after last having fielded a team in 1939!

Is anybody here watching the Georgia Tech/ Notre Dame game. Georgia Tech has been controlling the game up to now. I don't think Notre Dame can contain Calvin Johnson.

I've got a feeling ND will dominate in the 2nd half.

You're right so far, but they still can't contain Calvin Johnson. He is amazing. Well, Notre Dame won, so the day wasn't perfect. I enjoyed watching the game even if the hated Irish won. I guess the main news so far is that California got whipped by Tennesse. I'm not sure whether that was good or not. Another ranked team will have to lose on Monday when Miami and FSU play. I'm glad the season is underway.
