Just remember to recruit quality over quantity. We are still just a couple days over a month old and during that time frame we've gone from 5,104 hits to (August 1) to 16,198 hits (September 1) so we are growing - little by little.

Thanks for ANY help you are able to provide,

Sean

I believe it would help if we had Football in our name somewhere.

That would help, but Sean wants quality over quantity and a true fan would know that Pigskin Fever must have something to do with football.

Hey I was just referred to this site today over at BBF. This is a very cool site. I've always wanted to learn lots about football history. Did some BBF folks start this website?

Well, yeah any football fan should know what a "pigskin" is. :)

Yep. Same guy owns both. A lot of the people here are BBF members as well.

Nice username, BTW.

Thanks! I've always thought Red Grange (http://www.football-almanac.com/players/Red_Grange.shtml) was one of the coolest football players ever. Obviously everyone knows about his famous game against Michigan. Over at BBF people always talk about how baseball was king back in the 1920s which is true but when Grange (http://www.football-almanac.com/players/Red_Grange.shtml) turned pro in 1925 that was HUGE news. His $100,000 "salary" for the 19 game barnstorming tour with the Chicago Bears was an insane amount of money at that time. Even Babe Ruth (http://www.baseball-almanac.com/players/player.php?p=ruthba01) didn't make that much in salary.

Perhaps we can talk to Sean about setting aside some money to get some advertising.

I will email him now.

that is true, but if someone is doing a search for a football site, I'm guessing this wouldn't come up, so while a fan might know what it is, it also may be hard to find.

SO how do we get more people over hear? I really like this site but there isn't much chatter on a daily basis. I've always wanted to learn more about pro football history. There are hardly any forums that have a football history section.

I'll take out some Google ads this week as well. I just sent out a promotion to get those were here back involved. I also resolved the spam problem. So more growth is coming and a real place for us to discuss football history is evolving...
