The Seattle Seahawks have had a serious rash of injuries at the wideout position this year. And I do mean serious. This is well beyond snakebit!

:faint:

I think I might go tryout. I played receiver in 8th grade.

Lol. Remember the strike players in '87 everyone was getting off the street?

That last strike game Steve Largent had the game of his life, 15 catches and I'm not sure what else. He felt there was no reason to stay out any longer, they were going to get what they wanted for the most part.

They also signed Kerry Colbert- not that it matters really.

He's gone, he dropped way too many passes. He might have been sabotaging the team on purpose to get back at us for clobbering the Panthers in the 2006 NFC Championship Game.

There are two bright spots in the receiving corp: rookie TE John Carlson has turned into a go-to-guy and is a huge upgrade over Jerramy Stevens; you've got to love Deion Branch's performance on 7 Dec., two touchdowns and 88 yards.

Carlson might turn into a Witten, Gates, Gonzalez, Cooley type TE. Branch will never be anything more than an adequate secondary wide out.

To the best of my knowledge, Roy Williams and T.J. Houshmandzadeh are both unrestricted free agents after this season. After that the talent level drops off dramatically and the draft is always dicey for wide outs.

I think most of this is a moot point. I'm sure Jim Mora Jr., intends to implode the Seahawks after the season ends and Holmgren steps down, by which I mean getting rid of Matt Hasselback, Julius Jones, Branch et al.
