Anyone try it? I'm not going to drop 50 bucks just yet, but it looks seriously awesome.

I havent tried it yet, but I am sure I will soon. I actually prefer the NCAA games to the Madden ones. I love running the wishbone, and other option formations. I have taken Navy to the promised land in previous years, and hoping to do so once again in this year's version.

I bought NCAA 2004-2006, but I hesistated to buy 2007 mainly because of the lack of difficulty compared to Madden. On NCAA all you had to do is a put a fast corner or wide reciever at QB and run all over the field, but on Madden you can't just take Mike Vick and run 80 yard touchdowns. I'll probably end up renting the game.

I love the NCAA games too. Haven't bought one since 04, but I loved that so much I never traded it in... until it broke. I played as USC, because they're my second favorite, and they have decent TEs, unlike Northwestern, who's my favorite. In my third year of playing, I had:
QB#11 (Matt Leinart) - 93 overall
QB#9 (???) - 92 overall (redshirted)
QB#10 (???) - 91 overall
Tyrell Hanson (recruited freshman QB) - 90 overall (redshirted
HB#34 (LenDale White) - 97 overall
HB#22 (???) - 93 overall (redshirted)
HB#43 (???) - 89 overall
In the first year of NCAA 04 as USC you should have three QBs who are all sophomores with 78 overalls. I played as #11 (Matt Leinart), well, because he's Matt Leinart.

Now that you say that my first NCAA was 2004 and I used Miami.

I found an easy way to rack up pass yards: Get a fast QB (at least a 65 speed). Call a hail mary. Scramble out until you're almost at the LOS, then chuck it deep. The defenders will have rushed in to try and get the QB, and then you can throw it deep.
NOTE: If there's a big enough opening, it helps if you run with your QB using this to keep the defense honest.

I went out and bought NCAA 06. It's pretty good. I started a Heisman Race as a scrambling QB, did amazingly well in the spring drills (TD 8 out of 12 plays) got a scholarship to USC, and that's where I am right now, buried under Matt Leinart and John David Booty on the depth chart.

An all-time classic game: Boston College, led by gunslinging junior QB Ben Taylor (my Heisman character), go into the Big House for a crucial late-season game, which might decide the 2008 BCS alignment. With the score 24-7 in favor of BC, with a minute left to go in the third quarter, Michigan mounted a comeback. Senior QB #7 (Chad Henne) hit junior WR #86 (Mario Manningham) for a thirty-two yard touchdown pass. BC then went three-and-out, and Michigan returned the punt for a touchdown, making the score 24-21 for BC. BC drove down the field, running the clock down to two and a half minutes left, when senior HB #32 fumbled, allowing Michigan to take over. QB #7 then led the team on a great drive, capped by a twenty-two yard TD pass, making the score 27-24. Michigan then lined up for the extra point. The snap was high, the holder bobbled it, and the kick missed wide left. BC had new life, but without much time on the clock. With 42 seconds left, Taylor went to work, from his own 27-yard line. He connected with sophomore wideout Chris Perez twice for gains of thirty-seven and fourteen yards, putting BC in field-goal range. The kick went up as time expired, and was good. BC had sent the game into overtime. In overtime, it seemed like neither team wanted to win. Both teams kept matching scores on offense, until finally, with the score 83-83 after a Michigan interception on BC's previous drive, QB #7 dropped back to pass, and was hit by DT #97. The ball was scooped up by RE #93, who brought it all the way back to give BC an 89-83 victory in the game of the century.
