I know I'm a little late, but this week as been hectic.

So, Ashley Lelie who had been holding out since training camp began, is now a Falcon. The Broncos will get a third round draft pick in return.

That's a relationship that never really worked. Lelie was a first-round draft pick of the Broncos, and the team and the athlete never seemed to be able to get on the same page. Despite his blazing speed, he was never able to take first receiver status away from Rod Smith, altough he seemed to ask to be considered as such almost from day one. Maybe we should have taken his word that he was number one caliber, cause he never really proved on the field that he deserved that kind of recognition. Maybe he can pan out in Atlanta, but I sure wouldn't bet on it. Too much attitude, not enough work on and off the field, not necessarily a good combination.

That being said, The team comes into the season with a lot of question marks, at the receiver position, and on offense in general. Rod Smith isin't getting any younger, and if Javon Walker's knee isn't in good shape, we've got a problem on our hands. Right now, Darius Watts, who had two catches last year, stands as our main man behind Smith and Walker, wich won't strike fear in the hearts of defensive coordinators around the league. David Kircus and rookie free-agent Brian Clark follow in the depth chart (see coment about Darius Watts). At tight end, Stephen Alexander is efficient, but not a major offensive weapon. Tony Scheffler is the backup, second round draft choice this year, we'll have to see. And at running back, Bell, Bell and Dayne... question marks again.

Is this team as good as I tought?
