Who should the third-string QB be? Brian St. Pierre has gotten the majority of playing time in preseason, but was not very good last night, fumbling and throwing an interception. Drew Olson got his first shot last night with under two minutes left, and was 3-4. The one incompletion he threw should have been caught, and maybe another TD. Plus, Olson was amazing for UCLA last year. My vote goes to Olson.

McNair is old and is going to break down eventually. Boller certainly has shown time and again that he's not the answer. I think Drew Olson could be considered as a possible successor to McNair in two or three years. That would certainly give the Ravens plenty of time to test Olson out.

And after St. Pierre's pathetic performance the other night, Olson should make the team. I agree with you; McNair is too fragile to play for very long, Boller is just plain bad, and Olson was superb in college. The scouting report on Olson is that he may not look like much in practice, but he really steps it up in the games. He might start a few years down the line.

Well, we'll certainly get a look at Olson in tonight's preseason finale, as Billick only wants to keep the starters on the field for a drive or two. I'm really looking forward to seeing Olson and St. Pierre, though Boller is not a hot commodity, and I've really cooled on McNair. Olson looked reeeeeal good last week.

Yeah like I said in another post somewhere, getting McNair would have been great for the Ravens, if this was four years ago. Sadly it's not still 2002, which is not to say that's he's still not a huge improvement over Kyle Boller, who I'm pretty sure was drafted solely due to his haircut.

Well, Olson to the practice squad and St. Pierre to the Steelers.

Mark Clayton is the 3rd-string QB.
