Over on BBF, in one of the MVP 06 threads, Sultan_1895-1948 posted:
They threw all their chips in the pot with Madden 07 and I can tell you, I've owned that game for exactly two days and I'm ready to go trade it in already. I want Madden 06 back. They took a HUGE step backwards in 07 with no fantasy draft, no owner mode (concessions, stadium upgrades, etc), the gameplay/button issues are brutal (hot routes, double teaming key receivers, sprint button), can't customize your uniforms, every team only has two jerseys, the menus are impossible to navigate, and while the graphics are kick ass, every player resembles Barry Bonds, even the kickers. Oh and there's no Madden commentary. Its some scrub. Could go on and on. Just not a good game. So I will soon have MVP 2005 and Madden 2006 rollin' again. MVP can't be beat. Everything you could want and more. The graphics might be better for other games, lord knows they would look stellar on the 360, but the gameplay/options tradeoff isn't worth it to me. Ok, had to vent about Madden. I feel better now. Still ripped off, but better.

I was going to get the game, but my cousin isn't even on there. No reason now.

I have Madden 07 and there are plenty of uniforms to choose from for each team.
I don't need owner mode and fantasy drafts.
Game seems good enough to me.
And who is your cousin, ATLFalcons?

Jonathan Lewis, he plays for the Arizona Cardinals. I was really looking forward to seeing him on Madden. He said he took a picture for the game and everything, but he's not on there. BTW, could you check the Hamburg Sea Devils (NFL Europe team) and see if you can find Kevin Lewis?

Kevin Lewis is not on the Sea Devils in the game.
In real life, they don't really even have a roster right now anyway, I don't think. Almost all of their players are probably in NFL training camps. Their 2007 roster may be very different than the roster they had this past season.
I don't know why some of the later round draft choices such as Jonathan Lewis aren't in the game.
It's not that big of a deal because you can create the player. Also, many of the rookies were given generic faces. Eric Smith is one such player and he isn't on the Jets roster. He can be found in the free agent list.
Maybe they took pictures of Lewis to be included for the roster update?
I haven't played Madden in two years and I never bothered with roster updates anyway, so maybe I don't know exactly what I'm talking about, but I think in a couple weeks you may be able to get updated rosters online. You have to hook your console up to your computer or something. I don't know exactly how it works.
Perhaps if Lewis makes the Cardinals active roster (which isn't likely to my knowledge) he'll be included in the roster update.
I had the first Madden for Sega Genesis. There was no NFL license. I remember what this game used to be. It's much better now.

He has made the team, he secured a 3 year deal on July 11. I didn't think about the roster update.

We'll find out if he made the team on Tuesday. That's the big cutdown day.
Every draft pick signed a contract.

I think the Cardinals will need depth on their D-Line.

I have madden07 for the 360 and I can't find any alternate uniforms on the game or on the live marketplace. am I missing something?

I think it's different for XBox and 360.

It should; I haven't played it yet. If it doesn't, I'm not even going to rent it.

Anyone tried this game for the Wii? I heard it's amazing, and GameSpot gave it "Sports Game of the Year".

I have it for Wii, and it is fairly harder than GCN (which my friend has). You can't just tap a button to pass it when a DT is up in your face, you have to hold the button and swing the Wii remote forward. Its hard, but enjoyable, but I end up playing 06 for GCN a bit more.
