Sorry, couldn't resist infringing on Bill Burgess' trademark. I'm mainly trying to get an idea of who's here from bbf but under a different name, and any personal info you care to share. I'll start.
I'm a 38 year old (probably older by the time you read this) computer geek from Cincinnati who goes by mordeci here, on bbf and any other board I join. I am a long-time Bengals/Reds/Red Sox (in that order) fan.
I follow baseball during the season, but am really a fan of baseball history and post-season. Football, on the other hand, is an obsession. I watch every NFL game I can (I have an extra dtv receiver just to watch a second game on picture in picture). I'm not a huge college football fan, but I'll watch it when it's on, mainly to see players on their way to the NFL. I've been know to watch NFLE, XFL, USFL, Division II, high school all-star games, anything that's on as long as it's football.
I'm a Virgo, who enjoys long walks on . . . oops, sorry, thought I was on a different site for a moment.
Well, let's hear from the other 3 regular posters on PSF.

I'm a Jets fan. Don't let the avatar fool you. That old Cardinals one just happens to be my favorite NFL logo.
I created an account at BBF back in April 2005. For some reason I was never able to post there. However, they have me on file and sent me an email last month advertising this here new football forum.
No big deal as I rarely ever go there. Once in a blue moon I'll check out the baseball book forum.
I dabble with baseball history and have many leather bound books. However, NFL football is my main thing.

I'm an ambitious teenager with a love for sports. My post high school goals include: Majoring in Journalism, getting a basketball scholarship, and hopefully getting a job on TV or radio. I've been a member at Baseball-Fever for 3 years (4 on October 31) and I go by the handle of Atlanta Braves Freak. I feel I know more about the 4 major sports than any teenager in America.

14 going on 15. Live in Vermont and am a huge sports fan in all sports (mainly Baseball, Football, and Basketball). Not very good at team sports (AKA, baseball, basketball, and soccer) but I do love fishing and have gotten pretty good at that. Its easy to go cause I live right by a brook that they stock with trout. And since I live right next to a mountain I go Snowboarding all winter. Baseball has been my favorite sport. Try to catch every single Red Sox game. Do alot of studying on baseball history too. Watch all the Patriots games too (unless a important BoSox game is being played) although im probably more interested in football history. Watch the Celtics until baseball starts. Catch an occasinal Bruins game too. Ive only been a memeber of Baseball-Fever since March, but have managed to get over 1,300 posts. So pretty much my life revolves around sports. Whether thats a good thing or a bad thing I dont know :D.

Well, I guess I'm not the youngest on this site, I'm 16 years old and I play on my high school's basketball team. Baseball is my favorite sport to watch and keep up with, but don't ask me to play, because all I can do is catch the ball!

13, soon to be 14, go by Erik Bedard on BBF. Only joined in February, but since then I've amassed over 1,600 posts. I'm not bad at most team sports (soccer being the exception), and I'm pretty good at some (hockey, baseball). Born in Toronto, moved to Boston, currently live in Baltimore. I lived in Boston when I was first starting to gain an interest in sports, which explains my Pats avatar. On the way from Boston to Baltimore, I read a book about USC football history, and ever since they've been my favorite. Looks like I'm the youngest member of the site. Don't know too much about football history, I try to stick to current stuff.

Mordeci, who are the "3 regular posters"?
That was just a joke.
Reading these posts makes me feel really, really old. You kids talk among yourselves, I'll just sit in the rocking chair in the corner.

I'm mojorisin71, also a member from BBF. Baseball is my primary sport, but both footballs are a close second, and while the baseball season hasn't ended yet, I still follow football despite not having a pro team for the last 11 years.
And don't let the sig fool you; I detest USC. I don't consider myself a college football fan until the bowl season begins.

Well, every new post in here makes me feel older and older. I will be in the rocking chair next to Mordeci. Diehard sports fanatic, football being my favorite. I will watch and talk about just about any sport though. I am originally from New York, but now live in North Carolina. I am obviously a huge Oakland Raiders fan, and have been since childhood. I also love college football just as much as NFL. I follow Notre Dame (Check the Sig, lol), and Syracuse. In baseball I follow the Mets, and Basketball I follow the Lakers, both of them since childhood as well.
Edit- I am a member at bbf, but rarely sign on there anymore, BadKarma was my id over there.

Wow, way more young people than I thought.
I am Eric, 16 years old, Papa~smurf on BBF.
Baseball is by far my favorite sport to watch. I have played baseball for 10 years, used to play soccer, but haven't for about 4 years, and play Laser Quest (a type of laser tag) competitivly. Baseball always came first for me, I only started watching other sports a couple years ago. I live in a town at the base of Mt Rainier, about an hours drive from Seattle Washington. I lived in Philly for 4 years when I was young. Thankfully I was too young to remember, my family says that people in Philly only give respect to other people from Philly. I developed a hatred of the Yankees on the East coast, and so developed my love for the Sox (and recently Patriots, Celtics, and Bruins.)
Seattle Mariners, Seahawks, Supersonics, and University of Washington Huskies are my #1 teams. I plan on going to UW in a couple of years. I am not athletically gifted (even though I play baseball), but am very intellegent. My dad grew up in Brecksville Ohio, and went to Ohio State University. He is a die-hard Buckeyes fan. He still roots for the Indians, Browns, and Cav's, but is a Seattle fan now adays. He will never root against the Buckeyes though. I think that College football is something that you have to go through before you can appriciate it. I root for the Huskies, but wouldn't call myself a College fan.
I found myself watching football instead of doing my homework last year, not just the Seahawks, any team that was on. Last year was the first time I really got into a football season, I don't expect this year to be different.
I really don't watch too much Basketball or Hockey. I might watch a little more this year, but these sports are just typically not something I am into. I know some about basketball, but almost nothing about hockey.
I am a huge Fantasy Sport gamer. I am not sure if starting fantasy sports made me watch the sports on tv, or if it was the other way around, but I am the kind of person who watches any sport that is on.
Thats about it. If you feel the need to talk sports with someone, my AIM is Smurf2055@aol.com.

Another one of the "geriatric" members. Like Snake, I'm a big Raider fan, since the days of The Mad Bomber, Daryl Lamonica.
Ken Stabler is my all time favorite. In my younger days I lived and breathed for Raider football. I agonized over every defeat and would be miserable for days after any loss.
Since the mid 80s it seems they have more losing seasons than winning, and I've become more tolerant of their losses.
The teams of the 70's will never be topped in my mind. I wear my Ken Stabler throwback jersey for every game. My wife wonders if I'll ever grow up.
Also a member of BBF, and a lifetime Yankee fan. My Favorite player is Bobby Murcer, thus the picture on my BBF avatar. I have an autographed Murcer ball that is to be buried with me. My kids wonder if I'll ever grow up.

Hello. I am Jose Reyes from BBF. I'm 15 and am an equally huge fan of college football and NFL football. My college teams are Notre Dame and Rutgers. My username is also the name of my favorite college player. My favorite NFL team is the Giants, as you can also tell from my avatar. I watch just about every single Notre Dame, Rutgers, and Giants game every season. Baseball is my favorite sport and the only sport I play, but football is a close second.

how many bbf-esque threads do you guys plan on making?
Anyway. My name is Elliot but you BBF folks know me as Yankee Legend. I am both a Giants and Jets fan. I cheer for both. I am a NY fan. Last year and even now im leaning a little towards the Giants. But the year before that I leaned towards the Jets. But they're both my teams. It's my dream to see them play against each other in the Super Bowl. I wasnt really into football until about 3 seasons ago. My friends were into it so i gave it a shot. Now I think its interesting and exciting.

Packer Backer
08-27-2006, 06:38 PM
A little about me... You all know me as ZITO75, the A's mod. I've been a lifelong A's fan, and hard core Packer fan since about 2001. I go to Green Bay on average about 2 times a year, game or not. Needless to say, I follow the Pack closely since my Fiancee's family lives there. I moved to AZ from Seattle in 2004. I love it here and glad that Spring Training is here, since I catch tons of games. I work in the Marketing/ Advertising industry and have personally worked with the Colorado Rockies, Tucson Sidewinders and have had some contact with the D'Backs and White Sox. I also play fantasy sports year round, but like baseball just a little more than football. Um what else? I just turned 33, and we adopted a Golden Retriever from a rescue organization here in AZ. That's pretty much it. I would consider myself more knowledgable than your casual fan. GO PACKERS!
Elvis
08-27-2006, 07:48 PM
Well it's nice to see a lot of my fellow posters from BBF here. :)
I'm Marcus (Elvis here and BBF). I'm 35, so count me among the grey-beards here feeling old. :D I'm pretty much a casual football fan, as, like mojo, haven't really had a pro team to root for since '95. I'm not bitter towards the Rams nor Raiders, but have no interest in them. I've always been a "closet" Jets fan, plus I lived in NY for a year, so they're sort of my temp team to cheer until LA gets a team or two back. I pull for SC AND UCLA - just a civic pride thing.
I enjoy sports of all sorts, but my main passion is stadia. I've always been a stadium geek and have recently embarked on a journey of creating and selling original scale model baseball stadiums.
I probably wont be posting here nearly as much as I do at BBF, at least for now, but hopefully someday soon the NFL will grace Los Angeles with its presence and I will once again resume my pro-football passion that has been in carbonite for the last 11 years.

08-28-2006, 12:22 PM
I'm known as racosun both here and at BBF. I'm just about to hit the big 3-0, which translates to 125 here! Seriously, though, it's good to see so many young members here, all who post in a civil and intelligent manner. We have a great foundation to make this site THE football forum for the internet, just like BBF is with baseball. I live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, and am a diehard Detroit sports fan and father of four. Sports is such a big part of my life, it's like I'm a father of five (I actually named my eldest daughter after one of the Fab Five members, and no...it wasn't Jimmy King, LOL). I'm not into college sports anymore, but still keep an eye on the Michigan Wolverines football team. I used to love watching college basketball, until the Fab Five broke my heart. Now I mainly follow the pro teams, although it's no less heart-wrenching. My favorite sports teams are (in order): the Tigers, Lions, Pistons, UofM football, Red Wings, Lake Superior State University hockey (I live 20 miles from campus).
Regardless of their past and current failures, I'll always love the Lions with a passion. I'm a typical Lions fan in that I think we're going to go to the playoffs every year (it used to be the Super Bowl, but my spirit has been slightly worn over the years). I think Lions fans are the closest in the world to being a Red Sox fan, at least the pre-2004 BoSox fans. When they finally do win the whole thing, this entire state will go absolutely NUTS!!

*Ahem* Names Brandon Matics. I'm 11 years old. I just started liking football last year when the Bengal's drafted David Pollack and Odell Thurman. I'm a huge Bengal's fan and I live in Georgia. So I live with a bunch of annoying falcon's fans:mad:. My friend across the street is a Steeler's fan. So we share a pretty strong rivalry. So I'm still developing my knowledge in football even though baseball's better :D. Oh yea and on Baseball fever my name is JeffFrancoeur7.

Thanks Argonaut Fan. 39 years old, I only have one more year to act really immature, then I have to grow up. Of course I said the same thing at 29, 24 and 19. I may lose a little credibility when I say it at 89.

I am possibly the oldest poster here at 49. My name is Dennis.
I grew up in New York and am a lifelong fan of their teams-Giants, Yankees, Knicks, and Islanders/Rangers (on a Hockey forum, I might explain that one.) Early on I also loved the Colts and Johnny Unitas. I have never forgiven Joe Namath and cannot root for the Jets unless they are playing the Cowboys or Redskins. I also never forgave Bob Irsay for destroying the great Colt franchise so I don't consider the Colts one of my favorites anymore.
I now live in San Diego and like the Chargers and Padres when they are not playing my Giants or Yankees.
In College Ball it is Oklahoma and Notre Dame all the way. My pet peeve is that they still don't get it at the NCAA and refuse to install a playoff.
My other pet peeve is corporate naming of stadiums. The Chargers still play at Jack Murphy Stadium. There is no such thing as Qualcomm Stadium.
Finally I am a great fan of all sports history and love trivia. I can tell you who played in every NFL championship game since 1933 and who won, just as an example.

I'm four tool at BBF (and grognard on history/wargaming sites) and am 57 years old. Saw the very first Patriots game in 1960, I was all of 11.
As a lifelong Sox fan, I was not expecting the Pats to win SBs.
Watching the first Pats SB win with friends, I was saying "I think they're in troub...." Got cut off with "SHUT UP! We were with you in 86 just before the ball went thru Buckner's legs! We were ready to celebrate and you said, it isn't over yet.""
