Aubie!

Auburn University's "Aubie" tiger mascot, along with Wisconsin's
Bucky the Badger and Delaware's YoUDee fighting chicken, is
now a member of the Official Mascot Hall of Fame.

According to an article in yesterday's Birmingham News, the
trio make up the first class of collegiate mascots in the hall.
The News' Thomas Spencer notes that their fellow members
of the Hall inclu the Philly Phanatic and, of course, the San
Diego Chicken,

Congrats to Aubie. That is kind of surprising though.

Most organizations make picks without consulting any real criteria or anything.

Aubie isn't that great of a mascot. Honestly compared to the Sooner Schooner, the buffalo, Bucky, the old 1960s Brutus, Monty, Chief Illiniwek, the Spartan, the Boilermaker, the Trojan and a few others, Aubie doesn't really even compare. It's a fairly uncreative mascot.

Still, congrats.
