Who caught Brett Favre's first career completion?

Brett Favre caught Brett Favres first completion. It was deflected off a Tampa Bay player and he caught it, but it went for a loss of 7 yards.

That is correct. Wouldn't it be funny if Favre ended his career 6 yards short of Marino?

Favre wouldn't let it end 6 yards shy of Marino...I get the impression he'd come back for another season to get the extra yards.

How long do you expect Favre to play? He is currently 7,746 yards behind Marino, which is two seasons of 3,873 yards. That is certainly doable, but do you really think he is going to play Bryond this season?

It was more for the sake of humor, he would have to play 3 more years to really have a shot at it, I don't see that happening.

Green Bay won't let him play 3 more years, and no one else will pick him up at this point, nor should they.

I'd pick him up as a backup maybe but that's about it. He can mentor young qb's too. He won't catch Marino and i seriously think Favre has outlived his usefulness as a starting qb.

Every GB fan I know agrees with you.

Whether he retires or becomes a backup, the records are still safe from him.

He did look pretty good Sunday, though.
