I've been looking for a complete list of the AAFC drafts from 1947-49. I've located partial lists from each of these years, but have been unable to locate a comprehensive draft listing for any of them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried the HOF? I'm sure something like that can be found in their archives.
Sporting News has printed a very comprehensive draft guide that can be purchased on the website. I'm not sure if it's NFL, only, though.

The HoF sites I've seen only highlight the HoF AAFC players, and the Sporting News only showed the NFL drafts so far as I could tell. Thanks for the ideas though.

E-mail them. It may not be on par with Cooperstown, but the HOF in Canton does have an archives department. They do have an AAFC exhibit (ok, they have a pre-NFL Browns and Colts exhibit with mention of a couple other teams. Miami Seahawks?) so someone there might have them on record.

Thanks. I just saw the contact info on the HoF website. Guess I missed that the first time thru.
By the way, the Miami Seahawks were actually the old Baltimore Colts. They changed the ownership/name/location after their first year playing in 1946.

Here you go. I found this. They list by round but they are not ordered within the round. Also, it says that only players that actually played in one pro game are listed. So some players may not be listed. For some reason they don't have the 1946 draft listed.

I know it's late coming, but I just picked the book up this weekend at a book sale. The ESPN Pro Football Encyclopedia, which just released a second edition, has every draft since they were established in 1936. That includes the AAFC and the pre-merger AFL. I've only glanced at it briefly, so I didn't see if the USFL was included or not. I don't even remember if they had a draft or just signed everybody as free agents like they did with established NFL stars like Joe Cribbs.
