Is it just me, or are there more player arrests in the sport of football than there are in other sports? Could this be because of the violent, agressive nature of the game? Or are we just not hearing about alot of the arrests in other sports (I don't think this is the case).

Football Arrests:
O.J. Simpson, felony first degree murder (found not guilty)
Ray Lewis, felony homocide (found no guilty)
Rae Carruth, felony first degree murder
Jamal Lewis, felony drug trafficing
Koreen Robinson, felony fleeing police and going over 100 mph in a 45 mph zone
Maurice Clarett, drug charges, DWI, carrying loaded weapons with no permit.
Randy Moss , running over traffic cops' foot
Almost a third of the Bengals have been arrested and are awaiting trial.
There are many, many more just in the NFL. I'm also sure, however, that the NBA is having the same problems with the recent Kobe's rape case amont others and let's not forget about baseball and Josh Hamiton.

The NBA isn't far behind in player arrests. There was just one last week.
This is a little old so I'm sure some of you have seen this, for those that haven't I give to you the NFL All-Criminal Team.

My dad always says "You can take the player out of the hood, but not the hood out of the player."

Willie Williams comes to mind --- got offered a scholarship to Miami despite 11 arrests, then got cut from the football team. The reason? It turned out the scouts' projections were way off, that he wasn't that much faster without a VCR under his arm.

Like it... Yeah, Williams had his share of trouble. Seems like every year the same guys do stupid crap over and over...

Remember the book from several years ago "Pros and Cons"?

Alot of players don't know how to react when they get handed a boatload of money. Some lie on the beach and get fat and spend it all, while others freak out and commit crimes because of the pressure having a lot of money causes. The more money a players gets, the more hype that is attached to it. Some people aren't mentally capable of handling such a life transition. But then again, some people are just morons and as Momma always says: "Stupid is as Stupid does."
