Philip Rivers' agent would contest this! Remember those negotiations and the ridiculous assertion that because Rivers was traded for Eli Manning that Rivers was in fact the first overall pick?

The Chargers are one messed up organization. I can see why Eli didn't want to go there. They gave up too early on Brees and then traded him away to start Rivers -- who is already a bust. And I think a lot of Ryan Leafs difficulties can be traced directly back to the Charger's organization.

Does everyone remember when Leaf blew up on that reporter in the Charger's locker room? That was a total set up. Why did the camera man have the camera pointed and focused right on Leaf before the incident happened? Why was the TV press in the locker room in the first place? I think the reporter tipped off the camera man that he was going to go antagonize and pick a fight with Leaf and then did -- all we saw was Leaf's reaction played a 1,000 times on SportsCenter day after day. I've worked in the press long enough to know how to set somebody up. Where was the Chargers organization to protect Leaf? Apparently they took that day off.
