View Full Version : Draft a QB?

I was recently having a discussion on another site about what the Ravens should do in the draft. One person claims that Matt Ryan is the only worthwhile QB prospect out there, and that if they don't get him, they shouldn't waste a pick on a "second-rate" QB. others say that they should not take a QB in the first round, instead waiting until the second or third and getting somebody like Chad Henne, Joe Flacco, John David Booty, or Erik Ainge. Still others say that they should take the best QB available at #8, which will probably be Brian Brohm.

What's your opinion?

Traded down, then back up and grabbed Delaware QB Joe Flacco at #18. I hate the move, personally.

Well as a Patriots' fan you were right to hate the move. This could mean years of success for the Ravens. Or he could just flame out like Kyle Boller.

It is a little early to anoint Flacco the chosen one on the banks of the Chesapeake Bay but after a 1-3 start he's got the Ravens to 9-4, eying the playoffs and is a legit candidate for ROY.

The Ravens now have the first rookie quarterback and rookie head coach to ever win a playoff game!

That Flacco strategy is looking better and better.

I know I never posted it on here, but I had a feeling Flacco would be a good look for the Ravens. He had the tools coming out of college.
