The Giants forum hasn't been attracting any attention. I thought I'd start a thread on the superbowl, and see if it catches any interest

This has been a great ride, with great games over the Cowboys and Packers. The question is if they can keep it going?

I think they can beat the Patriots, but they are going to have to step the game up one more notch. Eli through a couple of balls in Green Bay that could have been intercepted but weren't. He played well, but if those are caught, he isn't getting the praise (and they might not have won). The Giants fumbled 5 times, and were lucky to only lose 1. Both those could be attributable to weather - but if they are going to beat the Pats, they need to be even more careful with the ball. Don't get me wrong, I think they throughly outplayed Green Bay, but a couple of breaks the other way would have been a different result.

I'm torn on the two weeks off. On one hand, they are hot, and I'd love to see them keep playing. On the other, they had a number of players coming off injuries, particularly in the secondary, and the extra week may help. Plaxico looked 100% for possibly the first time all season, but I think he can use the two weeks off, too.

I hope they continue to be looked at as the team with no chance. They seem to thrive off that. But a 14 1/2 point opening line? That seems excessive.

Finally, that play Pierce made at the end of the first half was unbelievable and may have been the difference maker in the whole game - but somehow I haven't seen it again on the highlight shows. ESPN has about 1/2 of coverage on the game, you think they could have fit in that play for 15 seconds?
