Qwest Field is so loud that some opposing players sometimes claim the crowd noise must be artificially enhanced. Even though the NFL has proven such claims to be a falsehood. The Qwest Field crowd noise is 100% real. The latest player to gripe about it was Sellers from the Redskins prior to last weekend's game. Guess what? That just got the fans even more revved up! I guess Sellers really put his foot in his mouth.

It's really a shame what the NBA is doing to a city with a tremendous amount of great sports fans. I also think it's cool how Qwest has all the reputation of being a great sports mecca while barely getting any hype for it.

Its a really loud stadium, but all I can think of was the drama that happened when texas a&m sued them over the term 12th lol. I would love visit it!

I'm REALLY hoping that the new Viking's stadium looks a lot like Qwest (except we'll likely have a retractable roof :dismay: ) I like how even the upper deck isn't half a mile away, and no three story tall stacks of suites - (see new Colts, Cowboys, etc)

There "ain't a bad seat in the house" as the old saying goes. And I can say that as someone who one game literally sat in the very last row.
Thank goodness it's not a huge cavernous monstrosity like the Colts new stadium or the Cowboys new stadium is going to be.

I have trouble thinking there's a better NFL venue than Qwest, but I certainly think the new Cowboys stadium could take that title.

Looks like Mother Nature went ahead and installed a "retractable roof" for the current stadium!

Now this would really fulfill a lifelong dream of mine!

"Long-term, however, grass could be a very real possibility and is one that Seahawks fans shouldn’t write off. There are very real benefits to a natural grass surface, and there are some very interesting inroads being made in the area of natural and synthetic hybrids. Studies have shown that the number of injuries on grass surfaces versus turf are roughly the same, the difference are the type of injuries sustained. Turf produces sprains and tears while grass produces more impact injures, think broken bones. Russell Okung’s ankles would probably appreciate a move to grass."

The Seattle Sounders and MLS would love a switch to grass too

Now it's called "Century Link Field" lol.
In reality I preferred the original name, "Seahawks Stadium."
