Will Peyton Manning match last season in terms of his performance?

I think he can exceed last years performance. Without the solid running game of Edge', the Colts will be a passing team, and with the most talented QB in the league, it isn't exactly a bad thing for them.

I agree, the Colts go pass-happy this year until Joseph Addai is ready to be what Edgerrin once was -- probably sometime in the middle of 2007.
That means big numbers for Manning or Jim Sorgi, if Peyton goes down.

Quite simply, Manning performed at a superhuman level much of last year. It isn't realistic to expect him to be quite as good again.

Thats what I thought. At first, I thought he would go back to being "normal" (still great, but not that great). However, not having James' running game around may boost his numbers back to where they were last year.

He'll still be great, but he's lacking the impact back that makes defenses respect the run. Without Edge, he won't be quite as good.

He will. This guy is the best QB in the NFL, and I really think he has what it takes to match last year's performance.
