Good Bye Brian Billick. Hello Rex Ryan Ii'm guessing) + probably Brian Brohm. Getting the right OC is going to be crucial.
I don't think Billick should have been fired.

The Ravens could turn right around and get back into the playoffs with some luck in the injury department. Billick has never been a great coach, but teams have won for him, and their failure this year wasn't really his fault. Could he have opened up the playbook a bit more? Yes, probably. Would that really have helped the team? Not in the least. The Ravens' offensive strategy this year was to pound Willis McGahee and throw the short routes. When Demetrius Williams, the only deep threat, went down, it became even more of a short-yardage, grind-it-out offense. That was because they did not have the talent to make anything else work, not because Billick wasn't calling the right plays. You can't even blame Billick for not having the talent, because I don't think anybody on the offensive line had three years of experience or three years left in their career. Some didn't have either. Point being, the team's terrible performance wasn't Billick's fault, and with all the holes they've got (corner, QB, tackle, linebacker), adding another one won't help.
