It's going to be very interesting. Wide Receivers traditionally struggle in the balloting, so I would not be too shocked if Cris Carter falls short this year. Darrell Green likely will get in, and I wouldn't be surprised if all three of the new Offensive Linemen, Boselli, Webb and Brown, eventually make it. Boselli and Webb have legit chances this year, I think.

Either way, I can possibly see three newcomers getting in this year, Green, Carter and Boselli. At least one of the Seniors Candidates will get in, probably Thomas, so that doesn't leave much room for returning candidates. Monk won't get in before Carter, and I'd love to see the late Derrick Thomas get in.

Okay, not a chance on any of the Qbs.

Ottis Anderson and Ricky Watters get in eventually but not this year.

Cris Carter is as automatic as choices get.

It's hard to believe Ben Coates is already eligible -- but he won't make it.

Joe Jacoby, Russ Grimm and Kent Hull have to go in before we start talking about the injury plagued Boselli. Webb doesn't seem like first-ballot material.

It's time to let Richard Dent and Charles Haley in.

Andre Tippett and Derrick Thomas should be in already.

Eric Allen, Darrell Green, Steve Atwater -- go directly in.

And throw in Jimmy Johnson + Jerry Jones, along with Ed DeBartolo Jr.

You don't think either of the Senior candidates get in? It's odd. The HOF site's link lists "Goldberg, Marshall" as the two candidates. Either they got stuck on Marshall Goldberg's name while forgetting Emitt Thomas is the other nominee or they mistakenly though it was Jim Marshall again, who missed a couple years ago. The actual article has it correct.

Editors in the virtual world aren't much better than editors in the news print world.

I'd like to see Jeff Van Note get in, if any OL will.

That's Ben "Winter" Coates, thank you! ;)
