Say Al Davis loses his suit against the NFL for whatever reason. A law is in effect in Congress legislating when franchises can move, for instance, and Davis falls short but sues to get it made unConstitutional, or something. just how crazy would he be in his desire to have a team in Los Angeles? What might he do when 1980-1981 come along?
If he were to jump, it would be interesting to see what the NFL would do with contracts of players like Marcus Allen. Especially if he makes the decision before Allen plays a game of his rookie season. (Yes, the USFL started to form a little later, but they might earlier in such a scenario, knowing they'd have one owner coming in with them.)
(NOte - i tried to have the poll set for 30 or 40 days, dont' know if I set it right but a mod can check)
