Who will be the best wide receiver in 2006?

Delhomme is a great QB, and with the Keyshawn Johnson out there, you can't double or triple cover Smith like last year. Smith will be, without a doubt in my mind (barring injury) be the best WR in the league this year.

After subtracting Edgerrin James from the Colts offense and adding back only Joseph Addai to try to fill the gap with Dominic Rhodes -- the Colts are going to be pass happy in '06 and Manning should put up some gaudy stats. They'll probably also lose in the first round of the playoffs.

But Dallas Clark, Brandon Stokley and Marvin Harrison should have good years. I'm guessing that due to Harrison's age that Reggie Wayne will be Manning's main man.

I'll vote for Chad Johnson... Where is he?

He's probably somewhere looking in a mirror and admiring himself.

Better than sitting on a bike and pretending to be hurt. :D

I think CJ will have a bigger year than LJ, just my opinion.

He just might considering the Bengals have Carson Palmer a quarterback and the Cowboys have Drew Bledsoe pretending to be one. But the Cowboys do have a lot more talent surrounding Bledsoe, Terrell Owens, Terry Glenn, Jason Witten, Julius Jones, than the Bengals have around Palmer. Chad is basically Carson's only passing option.

I'm not surprised that Bill Parcells hasn't made a big deal about Terrell Owens' behavior but I am shocked that Jerry Jones hasn't ripped him yet. What happened to the old interfering Jerry Jones that we all came to love/hate?

I would have voted for the Lions' Roy Williams, but he's not there. Instead, Reggie Wayne got it, mainly because I think the Colts will pass more often without Edgerrin James, and Harrison is getting up there in age.

Who's throwing to Roy Williams these days? I know Harrington is gone. Is it Kitna at QB in Detroit now?

Ya, Kitna is the QB there, for a few games anyways.

Kitna is saying he'll be a top-5 QB this season, and with good health and the new system he's in now, it's possible. The Lions also have the much-improved Dan Orlovsky and Josh McCown backing Kitna up, and those two are equally talented. I bet Orlovsky is a starter on alot of other teams if he had the chance. The recievers finally have someone that can be consistent throwing them the ball, and an offensive system that allows for better numbers and more scores. Roy Williams will have a monster season (with good health, of course). He'll be top-3 numbers-wise, and could be a steal in most fantasy leagues.

I think Parcells happened. That was the only way Jerry Jones could lure him to Dallas, if he kept his mouth shut and stayed in the shadows more often. I'm sure once Bill retires (again), Jones will come back out and get "hands on" again. While I've never been a Cowboys fan, I've always thought it was cool that an owner would care so much about the team. The Lions owner, William Clay Ford Sr., has never really gave a rat's....butt.

Roy Williams as top three WR, that's a bold claim. Could come true -- he certainly has all the talent in the world. The team doesn't have much of a running game does it? Kevin Jones isn't it? Or has Shawn Bryson finally earned a starting job.

I've always been suspect of Jon Kitna's arm and durability. I think once regular season play starts the Lions are going to come back to reality real quick. It's amazing to me that with all the offensive line talent available in the draft the last five seasons that Millen seemingly hasn't got any of it -- but I guess that's what happens when your GM picks WRs No. 1 three years in a row.

You think there's any chance that after another 3-13 or 4-12 season that ownership will go out and get someone like Mike Holmgren and make him the team's new GM & Head Coach? Then I think the Lions would get their teeth back.

Tough one to call, Steve Smith I would see as the most likely of the above choices, however.... Chad Johnson wasnt on there so who knows.

When reporters asked Roy Williams how he thinks he'll fare for the upcoming season, he only says two words: Tori Holt. He's cocky, but he's got the talent to back it up. Kitna is a question mark. He can be good, and this offense could help him finally blossom into a bona-fide NFL starter if he can stay healthy. The Lions also signed Arizona's Josh McCown to back up Kitna, but he's now third on the QB depth chart behind second-year player Dan Orlovsky. Orlovsky looks like he could be a draft steal if given proper playing time. His play reminds me of Ben Roethlisberger, but not quite as polished yet. He could be a fantasy sleeper if Kitna goes down, like so many QB's that have played in Martz' system.

The Lions actually have an above-average running game, it's just been under-utilized by the previous coaches. Kevin Jones is a beast, and this should be the year he breaks out big time. I think the wide-open passing game is really going to open things up for Jones this season. Shawn Bryson is a good change-of-pace back, and rookie Brian Calhoun should be able to pitch in nicely too. As for that O-line, Millen is an idiot. The guys he's drafted haven't really made any sense at all.

I never understood how Millen, a defensive standout himself, tried to pretend he knew how to build an offense. Joey Harrington didn't exactly pan out. We wasted the third overall pick on him, and after four lousy seasons the only thing we have to show for it is a possible fifth-round pick next season. It'll more likely be a sixth-rounder, since Harrington probably won't meet certain goals playing behind Culpepper. Millen wasted the second-overall pick on Charles Rogers the year after he drafted Jumpin' Joey. Apparantly, Rogers failed a drug test BEFORE the Lions drafted him. He failed another one last season, missing four games, and is now just one bad test away from pulling a Ricky Williams. He'll most likely get cut before the regular season. Roy Williams was a solid pick the year after Rogers, but then Millen unexplicably drafted Mike Williams last season! He, too, may be on the chopping block after training camp.

Will the owner get rid of Millen if we struggle again this season? I doubt it. Millen actually recieved a five-year extension, and this is year one of yet another rebuilding phase. As inept as our front office is, the ownership is even worse. But there is really no incentive for the ownership to actually try and win. It's like the Cubs: as bad as they are, they still sell out the stadium every game. Until the fans actually start boycotting the games, this team will continue to flounder. Last season's "Fire Millen" protests didn't do squat. Big deal, half the stadium wore Bengals-colored gear in protest of Millen. They still sold out the house. Unfortunately, Millen has tremendous job security, and for no other reason than ownership is a band of morons.
